Stone pool in organic shapes with a bamboo pergola, designed by Roby Macedo

The house · Pousada Buriti AtinsSeven rooms, one measure

We think luxury is time, space and attention. The rest is decoration.

Small by choice

Buriti has seven units across 2,000 m² of gardens: five bungalows around a stone pool and two chalets with private pools. We are not going to grow. With few guests, the team knows your name on the first day, breakfast is made only for you, and nobody competes for a sun lounger. It is the only way we know to look after people well.

Architecture that follows the dune

The design is by Roby Macedo. Walls that curve like sand, translucent biriba ceilings that filter the light, wood, bamboo and lime. Nothing is straight, because the landscape isn't either. The stone pool, drawn in organic shapes, is the heart of the house; around it, inside and outside blur on purpose.

The materials are the region's own, and the design seeks the wind, the shade and the late-afternoon light rather than air conditioning running all day — though it is there for the nights that ask for it.

Quiet luxury, our way

No buffet, no compulsory programme, no background music. What we have is a regional breakfast prepared individually and served between seven and ten, at the time you choose, in your bungalow or outdoors. Housekeeping and hours shaped to your rhythm, not ours. A hot tub, a spa, gardens and a rooftop facing the sunset. And silence — the rarest luxury in Atins, and the most generous.

Low-impact, feet on the ground

Atins sits on the edge of a National Park that is a World Heritage Site. That calls for modesty. We work with licensed guides and drivers from the village itself, we recommend the restaurants that belong here, and we built low and small, from natural materials, so the house fits the landscape instead of competing with it. The pace of the pousada is the pace of Atins: slow, with the wind.

Two houses, one care

Buriti Boutique — five bungalows, Comfort (≈ 31 m²) and Master (≈ 37 m²), for up to two guests, around the pool and shared areas.

Buriti Private — two independent 66 m² chalets, each with a private pool opening off the bedroom, a full kitchen and a gourmet area, for up to three guests. Private guests also enjoy everything Boutique offers.

Recognition

Pousada Buriti Atins is a winner at the LTG Global Awards 2026/27. We are grateful, and we carry on doing the same thing: few rooms, much attention.
